I wrote this piece for Piano,Cello & Bassoon. As you can hear my piano part is as the Breeze through Branches. The Piano carries it's own story. Cello parts I haven't finished.
The Bassoon's role was and is the most challenging. Mainly as it's sound and Contra Melody is constantly punctuated with accents when featured. The Trumpet would give it a more laid back approach. However the Bassoon, particularly when played by Jane Gower lends the piece to swing. Re the name "Willow" it's an image I remember of calm, safety and privacy.
Instrumental for Piano, Cello & Bassoon
